I've just installed Skype on my Nokia N97 and was wondering does anyone else on Turf use the Skype service?

I only use it for some international calls, and only if the other person has a good/fast broadband connection with Skype - otherwise the quality of it can be (very annoyingly) pretty patchy.

We've used it occassionly with Lindsay, but lately have been using the Gmail version with her. Much easier to use.

I have skype for my "land line"... Only cause cell reception is crappy at my apartment. Tried using it on phone, but is only free to other skype users, gotta pay to call #'s...
Have a wifi skype phone (netgear I think) for home use, works great...
Matt
I use it on the 3G network with my Iphone to call landlines and overseas.

Not sure why anyone uses it from a Pc, assuming they are by a landline, when least cost routing companies charge maybe 1p or 2p for international calls.

Some of our customers suggest using it, particularly for multi-way conference calls but generally I'm not happy with the quality and will usually just phone them by conventional means and gladly pick up the costs instead.
My son, who's living in Peru this year, buys local phone cards for $4.50 which gives him 90 mins of international mobile calls and blows Skype out of the water, quality wise.
This enables him (as he did yesterday evening) to slightly p*ss me off when he's sitting on Mancora beach at 35C watching magnificent frigate birds and pelicans diving into the Pacific and I'm ....not!
Nope, I'm not a fan of Skype.

I like sitting on the beach watching magnificent blonde and brunnette birds coming out of the water. :)

I'm sorry but I just believe either of you two. We need to see some / plenty of photographic evidence to prove it! :)

I remember very well, from working in Nicosia some years ago and having to make frequent trips to the coast during summer months! A lovely place to work ;-)
... On the other hand you have Aiya Napa nightlife: you can't have everything I suppose :) :)

I thought you were trying to keep to 80% HR. We couldn't possibly endanger your health ;)
