new rolex AD

morning all.
just wanna let everyone know of a brand new rolex dealership opening this weekend/monday in leicester.
in no way am i associated or getting paid for this. haha

but if anyone in or around leic go take a look.

the shops on market st in leic city centre.

apparantly its a very rare occurance that rolex give AD status to stores. 3 in the last 12 yrs
i was told. i was in there yest watching the staff clearing space for the new rolex stock and the sign makers getting ready to put up rolex signs outside the shop.
marcus the manager is a great guy, very knowelegable and approachable.
the store already sell many high end brands ie chanel, patek, omega, oris, bell and ross, jlc.
the amount of work going in there for the rolex launch is amazing. the whole colour scheme at the min is a deep red. they are taking all this out to change to rolex green. every stand every ring holder etc etc is being changed.

anyway i think the grand opening is monday.

Rolex are pushing their existing AD's to change their stores in a move to replicate the Rolex boutique stores.

This is bad news for the current AD's as they are being forced to spend upwards of 200K to tart up their existing shops to suit the mood of the present rolex management.

It has also meant that those stores who have been selling and thus supporting Rolex for many a year, but who have refused to toe the party line have been excluded from the Rolex circle of friends............................at this point I should swear but it is not my style.

So we now have the crazy position where a large but ignorant and useless company are encouraged by Rolex to represent them, but smaller and well versed over the years in the mystique of Rolex, are no longer authorised to sell their watches.

Why do we support them?
