I've been looking to get a vintage chronograph for a while now but even the Heuer Carreras I was considering have been rising in value. Then I saw this Omega Chronostop for sale and really liked its design (and price ;))
The Chronostop was promoted for the 1968 Mexico Olympics, which Omega sponsored, and this particular watch is from that year, and is the larger Seamaster version, with a 42mm case. It has a manual-wind 865 movement and measures times to 1/5th second. Another reason it was so appealing was because it had been fully serviced and looks in NOS condition.

....and an extract from a 1967-1968 Omega brochure showing how you can use the chronograph (Harb/Huck - check out the pulsometer example :))
