You like your sports watches, don't you, but that dress Omega is a nice piece.
And I guess the TAG doesn't get much wrist-time...
Thanks for sharing. Whats your next watch?
17 years and 4 watches. You have great control ;)

The dress Omega was my father's Seamaster from the 1970's. It doesn't get much wrist time but is probably my most treasured watch.
The Tag F1 was the first proper watch I bought with my first pay packet when I was a 17 year old. Unfortunately the battery died ages ago.
I'm hoping it'll be a good few years before I feel the need to buy anything else as I'm not one for mixing which watch I wear.
Although as Harb already knows I would like an Omega Speedmaster :D

Entirely understandable.

Neither was I when I started...;)
And a Speedy-Pro would be an excellent addition - every collection should have one.

Don't sit on the fence Harb.. :)

LOL!! Very good, Keith! :)
No...my statement had nothing to do with my comments about TAGs on the other Thread.
It was simply an observation that the time shown on the the TAG was different from the other three and, it being quartz, I assumed (correctly!) that the battery had died and Yinx clearly hadn't gotten around to changing it!
Elementary... :)

ha ha you're detective skills are spot on Harb! I've not worn my quartz TAG F1 for about 12 years, which is pretty much when the battery died. Plus my daily wearer for the last 13 years had been my SMP up until last week.
The (long) story behind the TAG was during the early 90's I was into F1 and Tag Heuer used to be the timing sponsor, also McLaren had a major sponsorship deal with them. I was earning £50pw in my first job and it took a few weeks of saving to get the £165 required to buy one. Prior to that I had a £20 fake F1 from Camden Market, which didn't really satisfy my needs. I remember how much of a big deal it was going to Earnest Jones on Oxford Street and buying my first proper watch. It originally came with a black plastic strap which broke, a common problem. I spent another £60 buying the ss braclet which I thought made the watch look a nicer.
After the F1, I was in the market for a TAG Kirium but ended up getting the SMP, in retrospect I definitely made the right choice. :D
On a side note, now that I have the SS Sub, the girlfriend wants my SMP. It would be perfect for her as the 36mm case now is average for ladies watches and it still gets to be worn!

cool, I had a TAG just like that as my first real watch, gave it to my brother years ago.

Now that would be cool...!
And a wrist shot is definitely needed...
