Platinum IWC UTC limited edition of 500 pieces.
Brushed platinum case diameter 39mm water resistant to 60 meters. Automatic movement. Blue dial with white numeral hour markers, outer track minute markers with luminous index markers and luminous hands. Independent hour hand (second time zone) this is a 24 hour display of UTC (universal time co-ordinated with TZC (time zone corrector). This allows the main hands can be set independently of the second dime zone indicator. 24-hour window at 12. Date display at 3. Blue croc strap with platinum buckle. Sapphire crystal, screw down crown with self winding mechanical movement.
This is a very rare and ultra cool watch. The watch is very heavy as it is it solid platinum and comes with the original outer and large numbered wood inner box. This watch wears quite large on the wrist about the same as a sports Rolex I would say.
The original cost of this watch when new (02/03) was in the region of 18,000 Euro
Price: only 6,600 Euro or UK £6k.
Watch is in London but I have family in Zurich so it could equally be there.
The original UTC is a something of an IWC cult classic and at this price offers great investment potential as well as just being a great watch to own and enjoy!
