any information on this watch manufacturer say's Regent watch co inside
17 jewels Swiss Has Clifford on the dial and 14K on the back.... I don't know if the mainspring is broken or just disconnected from it's anchor point
one end is hanging out in the air
This was my grandmothers and I was considering having it repaired but no one is interested in wearing it

A few more... Something I found interesting is writing or numbers scribed inside the back case
You should take it to a good local watchmaker who will give you an idea of the costs involved in servicing it.
I don't honestly know if it's rare or valuable, but I suspect probably not tremendously so - but my opinion is only based on seeing another watch with a "Regent Watch Co." movement but a Bulova signed dial. So you may want to see if the dial can be refinished etc.
Whilst no-one if the family wants to wear it now but who knows what'll happen in the future. Maybe a young female relative will become a WIS and love to have a family heirloom like this.

Thanks for the reply, I've had it around 17 years in a display case along with some of her coin collection... My wife and I are shopping for a new datejust for her this weekend so I guess I'll take it along and get some estimates
