View Full Version : Speedy Pro on new strap
During the summer months, I change the straps on my watches to brown/tan as it looks better with the cream linen suits I wear during this season...:)
During the winter months it's on an OEM kevlar...

.....but I'd been looking for ages for the right Summer strap - I'd seen quite a few dressy ones but they just didn't seem right.
But then saw this one and thought "that's it!"...

Got it (and another for another watch) from Ken Danks at The Strap Shop (http://www.watchworx.co.uk/pages/lwb/elite.html).
I've dealt with Ken before - he's friendly, knowledgeable and his products are great quality at very good prices.
I've had the strap on for a few days and it has received lots of positive comments. I think it's really cool!

Thanks for sparing us more shower scenes. Phew! ;)

That might be the thickest strap I've ever seen--not sure how they killed whatever cow that came from.
How is it at the buckle?

I just realised why I liked it so much - I bought the same in black :D
Looks really nice, harb. As I'm sure you do in your cream linen, you smoothy ;)

How do you mean, Marek?
I'll post some more shots from different angles later.

Aww..thanks, mate! :)
I did actually think of getting one in black, too, but I like the kevlar - it can be worn with a suit but still has a subtle technical look/feel to it.

Here are a few more shots.
The first two at the buckle end...

And this is comparing with an OEM Panerai alligator.
And you're right - that is one thick strap! :)

It's a great quality strap and them more I wear it the more I love it. Looks and wears fantastic on the wrist!

I just wondered if the thickness was at all obstructive at the buckle when done up, as the leather would be doubled at that point. Apparently not, as you've said it looks good and wears well on the wrist.
Some nice options at The Strap Shop--I was wearing the black/red GMT II yesterday and picturing it on the middle one below. Never had a Rolex on a strap, but the color combo just shouts to do it:
