I am selling my Vertu Signature phone. For those not familiar with Vertu phones (I mean 'Communication Devices'!) each one is hand assembled by a single craftsman, using the finest materials; similar to a fine watch. In fact, Vertu used pictures of the mechanism of a Patek Phillip, in their promotional material. The screen is saphire crystal, the speaker from Yamaha, it is trimmed in Bridge of Weir leather and each of the 16 keys rests on a ruby bearing for long life and consistency of feel.
Mine is special for three reasons:
i) I am fanatical about keeping it in perfect condition.
ii) It comes with many extra accessories.
iii) it is not a 'virtually a Vertu' like the majority of fake offerings on Ebay.
It had a €2500 service/engine upgrade to the latest version/refurbishment in 2007 - and I collected it from Harrods this week, following a £500 service and further refurbishment. Save for a minute (4mm) scratch on the reverse, I would describe this as fully LNIB.
As well as the phone and pochette, it comes with the following:
a) 3 UK chargers (one for Home, one for the Office and one for the Country Estate!) as well as 3 other 'international' chargers.
b) Software CD
c) 2 unused Polishing cloths
d) USB cable
e) unused hands free ear-piece
f) 3 Keys (to access the battery/SIM card).
g) unused leather laniere
h) unused Nappa leather and Palladium trimmed hard case, itself costing about £500.
i) All boxes and packaging in excellent condition.
j) Original Certificate of Ownership, from Harrods.
It does not take pictures, play MP3 files or pick up Radio 2, but like a fine watch, it is a pleasure to look at and use; a tactile delight. It will appeal to those who love the finest things in life.
The price new of this phone is £7,600; I am asking less than half this - £3800 delivered personally within the UK. Guaranteed genuine Vertu or double your money back.
