Been looking at V C and decided a while ago that they are not really up to it.

Also been looking much more closely at Pateks and I am sadly, unimpressed.
Having owned a couple of JLCs for a while, I think I am spoiled by their qualities. Quilities I am finding sadly lacking in other manufacturers.

I don't like any of Audemars offerings , nor the copies of them that Hublot make. Franck is frankly, a bit brash. I have had too many divorces to consider the really high end stuff by people like Grumble and Forceps.

So I am thinking, because I do want to treat myself to something a bit more " High End ", Maybe a Duometre.
Walt Odet thinks I'm right.
What would the honerable members spend 30ish grand on and why?

Wow, tough customer!

In this case, I suspect a Simplicity by Philippe Dufour would be just the thing for you...

Wonderful watches and almost perfect. But for me, there is one flaw.
It isn't the the absolute dedication to perfection over complication.
It is almost balanced by the almost insane attention to detail and finish.

But the adherence to 18000 BPH....

If it were just 28,800. I just couldn't handle a great watch of such enormous beauty running (or indeed walking) at that speed.

On with the search. Which if I am honest, is probably the best part.

BTW I love all that Dufour has to say about accuracy, and it's irrelavence.

Oh Tim! C'mon...LOL!
I think 18000 BPH would be ideal for a man as chilled as you...:)
