There is a barrel with no lid and some wine in it.
"This barrel of wine is more than half full," said Curly. "No it's not," says Mo. "It's less than half full."
Without any measuring implements and without removing any wine from the barrel, how can they easily determine who is correct?
Mike Wood will give away a watch from his collection for each correct answer :p

Sure - tilt the barrel in such a way that the line drawn from the lowest spot of the opening at the open end to the highest spot on the end of the closed end is parallel to the ground (i.e. it is "level")... If any wine pours out - the barrel is more than half full. If the wine does not make it up to the lip of the open end, the barrel is less than half full...
Any other questions? ;)

It could be both! One might mean the wine and the other the air within the barrel.

I think the best solution is to drink from the barrel until you're positive that it's less than half full. :D
