What do Turfers think of the woman that everyone is talking about?

15 million Youtube views and counting.

Does she really have an amazing voice? In my opinion, she is very good but not amazing, and it certainly didn't make me emotional. I think it's the whole build up and what she looked like, in contrast to when she started singing.

Very good voice, not great. Nice story - the kind of feel-good guff this kind of programme lives on. I enjoyed it!

I suspect Simon Cowell's enjoyment of the performance was greatly enhanced by all the £/$ signs in front of his eyes. Last year's winner was also an accomplished -if not brilliant - singer, who has gone on to sell millions of albums.

Last years winner was the young boy who danced crazy style to sining in the rain, it was paul potts the singer from 2007 you are thinking about :)

Though I liked her singing, but its a short-term emotional appeal, like a fad. She better enjoy her stardom now while it last.

Nevertheless, I wish her good luck.

What happened to that girl from Scotland that appeared in one of those talent shows.

Mick McManus ? No, that's a 60's wrestler (Or may be it was Mick, she did kind of look like him)

Anyway, what happened to her - All the scots voted for her and Welsh people vote for anyone as long as it's not english so Mick McManus won -

I think she also released a record but I'm not sure if anyone actually bought the record.

I mean Kylie and what's 'er name, the footballer's wife (No, not the skinny one), can't sing but they sure look purdy and that, strangely, is what sells records.

I've come to the conclusion that a few of these people are 'plants'. They've been identified in pre-trials so Simon cowel knows exactly who they are and he just wheels them out in strategic moments for to make him look like he can 'spot a winner'.

Look at the other night, that young lad came out and made a mes of one song and normally that would be the end of it - but you could just see that simon had rehearsed that moment and asked him "Can you sing anything else" so the lad knocked their socks off with another, much better, song (The music for which just happened to be ready in the sound system) and they all pretended to look surprised.

Does that mean that everyone gets a second chance ? Only when it's been rehearsed.

You lot would do well to put the stick to your talent scouts. Twenty years plus wasted...

nice voice in an ugly wrap = hype

Good voice and all that but did not move me at all. At least she is having her moment of fame, she better enjoy it because the show biz is very cruel. In less than a year she will be forgotten. I find all this enthusiasm very ironic.

Spent his whole acting career playing a big dork so when people found out he was an operatic baritone it was a big deal. "Oh, look Fred...Gomer Pyle can sign opera!" Their voices alone wouldn't be worthy of notice if it weren't for the element of surprise.
