Morning Turfers,

I have an almost perfect GMT-Master 16750. This watch had a fortune spent by the previous owner at a service with Rolex UK. During the service a new 78360 Oyster bracelet was fitted, along with a new bezel/bezel insert, and new dial/hands and a new crystal.
A very clean watch, offered at £3395 inc UK delivery.

What on earth happened to it that it needed a new dial? Hands I can almost understand, a little bit, but I have only had a dial changed once and that was on a watch which saved my wrist from being broken by a rake onto which I fell several years ago.

No speaking for this example but in my case The tritium died after a year (bad batch?) and the dial and hands were replaced with luminova FOC.

I have no idea Roz, I can only surmise that the dial may have faded or become stained. I think the owner was presented with a comprehensive estimate from Rolex UK and approved the lot. The watch looks 'new old stock'.
