but I just can't get used to it here.
Is it me or is it quieter?
I used to click on TURF daily and now I find myself popping in only once a month or so :(
And as a director of change you'd think I'd be able to deal with this stuff :)
It is quiet, very quiet in fact.
I would say that things had been slowing for a while, even before 'The Move.'

I've noticed it, too. I was never a high post counter, but the traffic has definitely been slowing for a while- or so it seems at least.

Do you think these two statements could, in any way, be connected...?
Not saying you're the only one, Bruce, but if people visit less frequently, and post less often, then the place is inevitably going to become quieter.

Too true, Harb. I count myself guilty as well. I have a couple other sites I frequent, but have enjoyed this one too much to quit posting. I'll try to do my part! :-)

I still feel that the site visitations began to decline from the time we moved here. I know I am somewhat against change but there was always something on the go previously but these days things are really quiet. Other sites which are not as well run, not as well informed and certainly not as well supported previously seem to be doing rather well. Whilst our own site is getting quieter.......
So well done to all those who are obviously trying hard to keep the viewers entertained, people like Ayjay and his identify the car competition. Which looks hard for most, but is all but impossible for me as I have photos of about 1cm x 1cm to try to identify.
In an effort to boost responses, I too have a question:
HOW DO I MAKE IT BIGGER SO THAT I CAN SEE IT BETTER?

I think you need to talk to Sharky about that - Louis told me that it's been a problem of Fer's for a long time! :)

If you don't get results from ChrisEdu/Sharky you can try clicking on the picture which in my case give me a "pop-up" with the picture slightly enlarged.
Click on that and it should take you to a page with just the picture. Then, hold your Ctrl Key while moving the scroll wheel either forwards or backwards, depending on which browser you're using.
If their suggestions DO work, post them here and there will be all the traffic anyone could want...

I think the scroll wheel idea works with Vista. Mind you, if Alan could post a link to the original source of the picture, it might be larger.

I'm not sure that the Ctrl Scroll wheel is an OS function as I know it works on XP in addition to Vista. I do know that it works with every browser I've tried - IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari. Don't know about Macs.
It "used" to work on email messages opened with Outlook but apparently I've mucked something up or something has changed as it seems to have quit on me...
Posting a direct link would certainly help though!

I asked Alan the same a few days ago when that quiz was taking over all my waking hours (and possible some sleep time, too...)
Anyway, he said that it had been forwarded to him in that size.
I've tried enlarging it but it rapidly loses definition.

That was the real reason for having to have body guards - they had to step in to make-up for his 'short comings (cummings)!' :)
