Default My Sub starting to look vintage

Put on my venerable 1992 TT black Sub this morning (after wearing my GV and Daytona for a few days) and was struck by how it's almost beginning to look vintage.

I think it's not only because of the watches I was wearing but also because I'm seeing more mega-case watches around. That, and a combination of the thinner case, narrower lugs with lug-holes, non-SEL bracelet, smaller hour markers - and, possibly, the gold being less shiny as the watch is approx. 7 years since its last service.

All these factors in combination give it, IMO, quite an old-fashioned sort of look.

I still think it looks great, though!

Thanks, guys!
I love this watch - it was my first proper watch and has practically been thru' everything with me.

If I ever had to get rid of my collection, this is the one that would stay - crazily stretched bracelet and all!

Yeah I agree, I think that watch and colour is a beauty!

Amazing how a watch can be almost 20 years old and yet so ageless...

Enjoy

Au contraire!

That particular term of abuse/endearment (delete as applicable) has a glorious resonance here on TURF dating back, as it does, thru' the mists of time to the earliest incarnation of our Forum. So there!

And as for the chillies...just tread carefully from now till then and you might just be OK...

Default Sweet...

....watch.

Just the day before yesterday i bought me an early L-series sub which looks almost brand spanking new. So why is it that some T-dials age faster than others...?

The sub is the only watch that i've owned, sold and bought again. I've had plenty of watches in my days but thisone's really yummy!

Oh and BTW, this is my first post here and actually my first watchpost as a Rolex owner. Used to post on Paneristi but sold the panny in favour of the sub and don't regret it a bit!
