Ed,

Don't mean to sound personal, but doesn't that bracelet on the same wrist as the watch create scratches on the case and bracelet?

Parent - By Rockrolex Date 2004-07-06 20:53
None that you would ever notice without a 20X microscope.  I used to wear the gold bracelet on my right wrist.  But then I bought a silver one that I also love, so I switched the gold one to the left wrist.  The silver one is too big and heavy to wear on the same wrist as a watch.  The gold bracelet looks especially nice with one of my YG DDs or TT DJs.
If it doesn't fit, use a bigger hammer. :-):-)
Parent - By perrimocho Date 2004-08-19 19:29
Ed another personal question if you dont mind, why do you wear so many bracelets? a religion? may be?  :-) :-) LOL...
Parent - By Rockrolex Date 2004-08-19 20:55
I'm not really sure, Victor.  They have no religious or medicinal significance whatsoever.  I just happen to like them.  I bought the gold one many years ago while browsing through the Diamond Exhange in New York.  Then a couple of years ago, I was in Stresa, Italy (on Lake Maggiore) and came across a very nice silver bracelet in a jewelry store there.  Since I have two wrists and I like them both, I thought why not wear one on each wrist.  They're not as big as watches, and I would be less likely to get comments on two bracelets than two watches.

Oh, I also wear a gold necklace that I bought in Florence, Italy about 5-6 years ago.  The necklace is two color gold and is even thinner than the gold bracelet on my wrist.  But it's usually hidden under my shirts anyway.

And finally, I have another silver bracelet I got in London last year.  But I don't wear that very often because it has a leather insert and I found out after I bought it and had it custom sized that I should not wear it in the shower because the leather might come out.  So I only wear that one on special occasions.
If it doesn't fit, use a bigger hammer. :-):-)
Parent - By perrimocho Date 2004-08-19 21:36
It is like a fashion trend eh? lately I saw a lot of guys wearing bracelets...so now we have less space for the watches..enjoy!
Parent By Rockrolex Date 2004-08-19 21:41
What can I say.  As a fashionista, I'm ahead of my time.  LOL!!  :-):-)

These are not my own photos but they are some good examples of GMT II photography/photoshopery.  They are suitable for use as wallpaper... ;~)

Enjoy!  ;~)

Thanks for posting that story REORX.  As a GMT lover, I really enjoyed reading about my favorite Rollie.

Ed;

I'm glad you enjoyed that - I originally saved it because I was a GMT II owner at the time.  The photos have been resized and as a result are not as suitable as they originally were for use as wallpaper.  If you would like a copy of the files in their original size (1024x768 if I remember correctly) just drop me a PM and I will send you the originals... ;-)

I may be getting the hang of this photography thing.  I still have the Pepsi BEZEL on mine.  I haven't switched it to "stealth mode."

Personally, I hate it when someone corrects me, having said that, it is not the dial, it is the bezel...I made this mistake myself in the beginning, and this is my way of saving you from the hoards of folk coming along and correcting you...OH, I forgot, that only happens on TZ

Anyway, dont you absolutely love this god damn watch :-)
Parent By Karamel Date 2004-08-21 13:47
I really love this watch.

Got any more pictures of it? ;-)
Parent - By RandyS Date 2004-09-25 23:31
Yes, but I will wait till they are REAL good before I go any further...But, I am thinking about a 30" LCD for my bedroom, only problem is it has to fit in my armoire and I have width of 32" and height of 23" to play with...And I think I found it, only problem is it is $2300, that seems like alot of money to spend on a bedroom tv...
Parent - By Manatee Date 2004-09-25 23:36
What is a non-sequitur?

(Jeopardy-style answer ;-))
Parent - By RandyS Date 2004-09-26 00:06
I naturally assumed you were being facetious, if you really want to see more pictures, I got em...

I went out today with my wife, and the only thing I wanted to do was get a white small trash can to use in my pics...We had lunch, went to the mall, bought a bunch of clothes, looked at watches (seiko and bulova was all there was) and yes, came home without the trash can.

Oh well...
Parent By Manatee Date 2004-09-26 00:16
I agree - your watch photos would be a little better if they had a small white trashcan in them. ;-)
Parent - By RandyS Date 2004-10-16 16:45
Not really where I want it to be, but I thought I would experiment with background, the learning goes on...

Parent By yonkyu Date 2004-10-17 19:38
Try a diffused fill in flash.
As simple as a piece of binder paper hung in front of a traditional flash or as exotic as a ring flash.

Have fun Randy!

My new F-series.  I can hardly believe the luminova on this one!

Parent By AdamerFox Date 2005-02-14 10:25
Looks like my GMT's luminova.....BRIGHT.

Despite all the complaints about folks' Rolexes with poor luminosity, mine light up very brightly, and stay sufficiently "charged" for me to read them for hours, should I wake up or what not at some point in the middle of the night.
